youre talking about the 12v heads right?

what i would do, is research if the head gasket for the 6g72 12V head is the same are the 6g72 24V head...then you would roughly know that the avenger 6g73 24v head will bolt to the 6g72 12V block...

the 12v Part No: EH228T1 and the 24v Part No: EH229T2 they look about the same but it looks like there are some differences where the water jackets are

don't touch the 12 valves 6g72 even with a 20 foot pole

that's not the one used in the 3.0l swap and it's an old piece of junk

Alain I thought you didn't know what you're talking about?

I can't believe no one else figured that out.  Oh said...yes I can, I know what site this is.

yes i was going to slap the 2.5 heads on the 3.0 block whats wrong with that block

why would you put 2.5 head on the 3.0 block?

why would you put 2.5 head on the 3.0 block?

because he think that he could turn the short block of the Chrysler 3.0L 12 valves  K car/caravan engine into the equivalent of a mitsubishi made 6g72 24 valves

he doesn't realise that those 2 engines are really far appart even if they have the same basic name

 ;D

old 3.0=12 valve, overhead valve, push rods, chrysler
new 3.0=24 valve, overhead cam, mitsubishi

they are totally different engines...

heads, block, crank, rods, pistons, cams everything is different.

what is there that you don't get?

old 3.0=12 valve, overhead valve, push rods, chrysler

the 3.3/3.8 were pushrods
those 3.0 have a single over head cam and timing belt
I know mine will need to be done on the caravan soon  :-[

for the last time
3.0 sohc 12 valves: engine built by chrysler based on a mitsubishi design from the mid 80's and using a mix of american and japanese parts and dropped into econobox

3.0 sohc 24 valves: engine built by mitsubishi in japan designed in the mid 90 and made for performance

the blocs have 10 years of evolution between them, the pistons and rods in the chrysler are pure crap, the cranks are not the same , the oil filter could be a serious issue and several more stupid little details need to be considered

I know building an engine is fun .... i did my own design over a 5 years span .. but when you coud buy a complete mitsubishi 24 valves 3.0L for around $600-800 low mileage and good running condition I don't get why you still insist on the playing with old the chrysler made sohc block

like I said anway, I don't know what I'm talking about , so spend your money like you want

the whole "they are both 6g72" reminds me that the torqueflite 727 and the A604 are both called Ultradrive
the first one can launch a 500 hp 4500 lb muscle car and bring it in low 13 on the 1/4
the second one can launch its casing in pieces with a 140 hp engine ....
