Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: redstar_gearhead on February 01, 2008, 11:42:30 PM I bought from ERT and there customer service sucked arse How long ago was that? they been outta business forever ::) I'd be surprised if you ever got your stuff. 5+ years ago may have been different, I bought from them back-in-the-day & I got my stuff, then in '06 they screwed me on a tranny cooler purchase. Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Rob on February 02, 2008, 01:03:34 AM I bought from ERT and there customer service sucked arse How long ago was that? they been outta business forever ::) I'd be surprised if you ever got your stuff. 5+ years ago may have been different, I bought from them back-in-the-day & I got my stuff, then in '06 they screwed me on a tranny cooler purchase. It was a few years back they gave me some fuel injectors that didnt even work the freaking jerks Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Alain95i4 on February 02, 2008, 07:48:42 PM ya but that place doesnt have nearly as much stuff! as ERT did im just looking for something to manage my fuel system something somewhat simple how about you put everything back to stock that way you car will run properly with the right fuel management as conceived by hundreds of engineers working for chrysler ? Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on February 03, 2008, 03:55:56 AM ya but that place doesnt have nearly as much stuff! as ERT did You're right. DistubingMotorsports now has ALOT more than ERT Inventory ERT = 0 DMS = alot more than 0 lol Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: austra25 on March 27, 2008, 03:00:31 PM is it just me or does dms look a lot like exile same website setup same parts and prices? or i may be paranoid, oh well just an observation
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on March 28, 2008, 08:27:26 AM lol. i've been wondering about that a little too. however... I'm not sure that DMS has any real ties with ERT.
Sroufe7 will probably be along soon to clarify a few things. Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: '98Lxi on March 28, 2008, 06:38:46 PM is it just me or does dms look a lot like exile same website setup same parts and prices? or i may be paranoid, oh well just an observation Trust me, DMS is not ERT in teh least. I've been up there a few times now and they're teh best ppl around IMO. Bought plenty of stuff from them and they really will go out on a limb to help you however they can. ;D Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Sroufe7 on March 29, 2008, 04:53:25 AM No one from DM has ever meet the guy who used to own ERT.
I also would not affiliate with anyone like ERT. Believe what you want, but there is absolutely no relation. Call the phone number, e-mail us...we are actually here to answer the phone and e-mails. ;) Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Sroufe7 on March 29, 2008, 04:58:22 AM Also...If you want me too...
I can take pictures of the I4 turbo'd car that the owner of DM owns and drives. I can take pictures of the second owner's car that is got a good mod list. I can take pictures of my car that is supercharged. I can take pictures of a car in the shop with no engine or transmission in it. I can take pictures of the car we just put a 3.0L in it. I can take pictures of a brand new built engine waiting for it's home. Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on March 29, 2008, 06:07:08 AM See? ;D
Sroufe7 doesn't like ERT. lol I'd probably use a black background as far as the catalog goes too. lol. it's not as.. bland as your blank white background. Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: alex on March 29, 2008, 04:31:36 PM oooo can i see pics of your supercharged bring?
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Sroufe7 on March 29, 2008, 04:42:23 PM (http://ripplxi.ss-graphics.com/Images/My%20Car/12.03.07.JPG)
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: '98Lxi on March 29, 2008, 08:15:12 PM Hey Scott do you have any pics of my swap? Plus, do you recommend steam cleaning these engines? ???
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Sroufe7 on March 29, 2008, 08:21:52 PM Got a picture of the engine already in and ready to go :P
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Bad Venge on March 29, 2008, 09:47:42 PM No one from DM has ever meet the guy who used to own ERT. Actually that is wrong ... Jim met Steve(Exile)at a midwest meet in Ohio Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on March 30, 2008, 12:21:26 PM sigh. that doesn't count because technically that means that I've met Ludacris each time i went through Atlanta.
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: austra25 on April 03, 2008, 12:26:40 PM lol ok i was just wondering didnt wanna get the shaft you no
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on April 03, 2008, 08:26:14 PM lol. it's always good to clear any questions you have before doing something important. life lesson.
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: ImTheMYLF on April 04, 2008, 08:53:40 PM No one from DM has ever meet the guy who used to own ERT. Actually that is wrong ... Jim met Steve(Exile)at a midwest meet in Ohio Actually, THAt is wrong - lol... Jim met Steve at Chryslers, I just asked him... As far as the catalog looking like ERT - our old catalog was the same format, so yes, it probably did look alot alike. The new one (besides the colors) isn't even close. We liked the dark background, in fact the entire site is dark - it fits in with the "Disturbing" motif we have going on.. ;) We could have paid someone to do a custom la-dee-da catalog, but I prefer to keep our costs low, so we can pass the savings on to you guys....so - we use the freeware catalogs, like most other "smaller" places. And as Scott/Sroufe7 said - please do feel free to call us if you need anything. There is almost always someone by the phone, we work all the time. If we happen to not answer, it just means we are probably out in the shop, so leave us a message. If you need something, and don't see it on the catalog, please call us, or email sales@disturbingmotorsports.com and let us know what you are looking for, and we will be happy to add it if it is something we can get. And, in closing - the owner of Exile is named Steve - DMS is owned by Jim (James) and Beth (Elizabeth) and we have Scott working here also.... plus ERT was near Chicago, and we are in Pennsylvania. ;) Anything else you guys want to know, please let me know - I do not, in any way, shape, form, or function want to be put in the same category or associated with ERT. We work WAY too hard to keep our good name. Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: '98Lxi on April 04, 2008, 10:53:57 PM Preach it Beth! ;D
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Bad Venge on April 05, 2008, 12:06:26 AM I've got pictures of Jim and Steve together at Slam and Jam in Ohio ;) We had a weekend meet over here ...
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: ImTheMYLF on April 05, 2008, 12:16:10 AM Jim says he only met Steve once, and that was at Chryslers :dunno:
Title: Re: ExileRacing Post by: Shiano on April 05, 2008, 06:15:26 AM I trust Jim. He doesn't have Grand Theft Auto charges against him. ;D
