Title: Old school style Howell SS hood - Painted and installed
Post by: TheBringer on January 10, 2008, 08:33:54 PM
After an accident in last year that tore up my front end I ordered the Howell Automotive hood. After talking with my body shop guy I decided to give it the old school look with a little pizzaz. The hood will be fully functional since the scoop is opened to the underside of the hood and will look even better once I get the Evo3 style front (with the 7" blue halo Fogs) on there too.

They guy did an awesome job with the paint but it needs wetsanding and a final coat of clear putting on thanks to a fly in the paint booth.

Anyway, enjoy.

that looks bad ass sucks about the fly though he didn't offer to fix it . did he paint in a booth or not . ive gotten dirt nibs and and bugs out of clearcoat befor but you can't sand in just that spot or you will make  a flat spot or finger mark. and if you start to see color in you're sand muck you,ve sanded to much I like it thogh it looks sick

I've thought about getting the scoop on my hood done in black.  The one on my Camaro, my Sebring doesn't have a hood scoop.

Bumper went in for paint yesterday. Have some 7 inch blue halo fogs that are going to be fitted too.

I should be able to see all the way across the county with a bumper like that equipped with fogs..... lol... just picking on you. Be sure to post up pics when it's done. Nighttime also if possible.

Thank you so motherfricking much for actually putting proper foglights in the fogs area. I've seen too many of those kits ricing around town with nothing there but a negative space that creates added drag.

where did you buy your fog lights from? the fog lights on my 05 sebring are split into 2 parts, (the top is the parking lights and the bottom is the fog light). I'd like to get a replacement set to where it is one large circular fog light and I'd like mine to be as bright and blue as yours.

They were from a vendor on Ebay (can't remember the name off-hand). They are 7 inch Eurostars and are directly fitted to the bumper. If you search for them you will be able to find them.
