Title: Hi Every one Post by: dodge on December 26, 2007, 05:51:11 AM Well. I have been here for a few weeks.
I am in a promlem. I was looking to change the timing belt in my 95 avenger that i just recentley bough, but i found out that the 420a engine is an intereference engine, meaning that if the timing belt brakes, chances are that it damaged the valves as well or some part of the engine. and i definetly dont want to have my timing belt replaced for 300-500 dollars, and then find out that the engine does not work because of the valves or what not. so i decided that I should maybe just to a swap. I made a post about this in the 4 cylinder board, but i think this would be a better place to talk about this because I am looking for some one to help me go buy a used 420a engine with less than 100,000 miles, and help me swap in the engine. I ususally dont like asking for help but in this case, i do need some one to help me put the engine in my car. Is there any one out here from the new jersey/new york area that is willing to help me with this? If so, you wouldn't be out much if you bought a new one and tried it yourself. http://www.disturbingmotorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_26_39_77&products_id=116 (http://www.disturbingmotorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=21_22_26_39_77&products_id=116) Title: Re: Hi Every one Post by: JusBringIt on January 07, 2008, 05:32:01 PM I would, but w/in a week ill be busy 24/7...w/ a day off here n there.
