Title: heater blower causing my battery to die please help... Post by: Jon on November 18, 2007, 11:37:34 PM Hi This is my first post i have a 1997 dodge avenger 2.0 automatic and for some reason when i turn on the heat when the blower comes on it causes the belts to squeak and the battery light to turn on then the headlights eventually start to dim and the car starts to rev irraticly between 0 and 1000 rpms during idle the car stereo also shuts off once i turn the car off when it is like this the battery is drained the car runs perfectly fine except for a few squeaks from the belt every once in a while without the blower on tho ??? any suggestions on how to fix this would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks, Jon Title: Re: heater blower causing my battery to die please help... Post by: Bad Venge on November 18, 2007, 11:44:10 PM Your alternator accesory belt is loose , the additional load of the blower motor causes the alternator to bog and the belt starts slipping ...
