Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: Darktengu on July 20, 2007, 03:37:25 PM It looks semi-legit. The concept sounds good. I would buy it unless someone on here I trust said not to. In fact I might bookmark that and pick it up when the motor is FI
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: '98Lxi on July 20, 2007, 04:53:19 PM I think it'd be pretty sweet for a higher hp motor... No spinouts at the line.. ;D

Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: '98Lxi on July 21, 2007, 03:36:54 AM Lol you know what I was thinking about that or that we should group buy an icon lol. ;D
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: JusBringIt on July 21, 2007, 04:35:43 AM ok, i know i dont own a manual..but from first look, the site...i dont really trust a site that looks the way it does....secondly i dont see how that device prevents ur car from doing a burnout...i do believe u need to have some sort of traction control to prevent that?..thirdly...isnt that like putting ur car in neutral...and i know manuals can be left out of gear....isnt it equivalent to doing a neutral drop (for the turbo section). and finally...a sudden force like that (from the engine to transmission) seems like it would break ur engine...at least ur transmission...i dunno guys..it has not convinced me the least..the video is the most proof..and that really doesnt say anything.
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: Darktengu on July 21, 2007, 05:38:37 AM From what I read (I only scanned) it sounded like a Rev limiter set to the "perfect launch" RPM. It'd be no different from me sitting with my foot on the gas and keeping my tach at 5k and then letting out the clutch. But again I only briefly read it.
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: JusBringIt on July 21, 2007, 05:47:31 AM yeah..as usual..lazy....but anyway...after readin what u wrote...thats what I was thinking..but leaving it out of gear..flooring it...and then putting it into gear seems a bit dangerous....it would beat up on your engine...the load should be applied before exerting the force....otherwise u bring a lot of others into play. however...that just sparked an idea..how about getting a s/c that can spin up to literally 300 000- 500 000 rpms (currently they spin up to about 60 000)possibly higher depending on pulley size and boost....get a significant amount of boost at idle by having the correct pulley..that may put a bit more stress on the engine..but u could fry tires off the line that way. combined with a boost pressure regulator...i dont see how u can lose...
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: B-man on July 23, 2007, 03:41:51 AM this is gbest for force inducted cars, for na cars, it would eb the same as power braking.
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: JusBringIt on July 23, 2007, 04:41:20 PM how does it make the power flow throughout the engine and NOT spin the wheels w/o disconnecting the transmission..physically....so how does it stop the transmission from spinning while the engine is still going w/o disengagement of the transmission. that doesnt make any sense.
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: Matt on July 24, 2007, 04:43:35 AM oh.. just making sure
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: Matt on July 24, 2007, 04:44:30 AM i like to make sure everyone knows
Title: Re: Garbage or Not? Post by: JusBringIt on July 24, 2007, 04:45:33 AM o ok..yeah..sometimes ppl get carried away n forget the topic..but..as far as my posts are concerned..manuals..do have a transmission whose disengagement from the engine is controlled by the gear switch lever....or...shift stik.
