Title: Stick Shift
Post by: DangerboyJr on December 21, 2005, 02:06:05 AM
Has anyone found one to work correctly.. Im guessing Alain could do it.. He is the resident mad scientist.. anyhoo.. just wondering

A V6 2.5 might be good but the 3L is better

Exile has been working on an adapter for the sensor ...There was one other member that swapped a 5 speed BUT was sabotaged by a bad junkyard tranny (locked up) he hasn't had the $$$ to replace and try again

I had a solution back in 2001 but back then almost nobody wanted to spend a dime to make a prototype crank trigger wheel
I just needed 1 V6 flexplate for a few days 1 machine shop to cut a trigger wheel and 1 ford optical crank sensor

I won't spend my own cash to do something for the v6 crowd

designing a crank sensor replacement is so simple and yet thousands of peoples will prefer to talk about ERT than trying to do one

Alain
