Grip the trim around the radio,it'll pull straight back and off .... Two bolts hold the radio in ... Under 5 minutes to install

anyway since im on the subject of stereo's i was wondering does it hurt anything if i go overkill with amp wiring kit's?? like say my stereo is like a 300-400watt system or more, and i have a 1000watt amp wiring kit will it do any damage or anything ??   thanks Rob

Only trouble you might have is getting the larger gauge wire into the amp but some wire trimming will get it in there

single amp don't need distrobution block ... like I said you can just cut the wire down

When I took my Factory deck out I took the cage (metal brace) as well. Was about 6-8 screws.

your running 4ga Wire?

I am also running 4ga and I am constantly switching systems from 400w all the way up to 1500w and have no problems.

i'm probably gonna get bashed for this but,

to clear up any confusion or possible future questioning:

Can you take 3 8g wires and run them together in place of a 4g?

kinda like that. I split it at the top for understanding reasons.

Do you need the metal cage to mount the deck?

Ill also be running a 4g wire and a dist block for my two amps when I get them

when i got my system installed i had to buy the new brace trim for just around the cd player and a new harness kit and on top of that i had to re wire the srock harness cause d-a who had the car before me tried to hardwire the stock radio!
