Title: agx and st spring install problem ......
Post by: greg on March 05, 2007, 06:59:57 PM
for my 98 es v6, i gave my dad suspension techniques (part #60342) springs and kyb agx (part #741018 and 741019 ) and ingalls camber kit front and rear. he calls and says it's too low, (half an inch from the ground) and there's no play in the front suspension at all, that it's completely bottomed out. this is supposed to be a 1.3"-1.75" drop. what would cause this? i double checked part numbers. could it be the wrong springs? the agx struts are set at setting #6. which is near the middle to upper setting. what would cause this? i'm getting fed up now..... >:(

The settings are just for stiffness.  My guess is your dad installed them wrong.  I put the AGX's and Eibach pro-springs on my car with no issues.

is the front only dropped too low of rear and front?

I remember people talking about that i4 springs will not work for v6 due to heavier front

maybe thats the problem... or just bad choice of springs   :-\

something else is wrong. those are the right springs. even eclipse springs won't completely bottom out the suspension.
i'm with dt on this one. something may have been installed wrong.
