Title: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 05:38:01 AM Ever since I bought the car the passenger side front speakers (mid & tweeter) have not put out as much as the drivers side.. Right now I have my deck balanced to the right to even out the music.
Also when I Fade the music to the center on my deck the passenger side front speaker cuts out completely. It need to be faded to the rear or frnt abit to kick in... I know and have quite abit of electronics experience.. but I'm puzzled about this problem. I was thinking about switching negative & positive on the speaker to see if it was wired up wrong. I need some Electronics Gurus to help me on this one. Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Nykon on March 02, 2007, 07:14:35 AM Do you have the infinity system?
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 09:57:15 AM Yes, amp and all.
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: DangerboyJr on March 02, 2007, 04:43:37 PM Thats most likley your problem. The Infinity systems liked to short out. Just the deck though. The rest of the sysytem was ok. My deck got so bad I couldnt change the track on a CD. Because sometimes it would eject the CD instead of changing it. The Fade and Balance never worked well either.

Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Nykon on March 02, 2007, 06:16:15 PM you might also check the amp. :D
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 06:54:13 PM woohoo.. I said somthing knowledgeable and it didnt have to be fixed by nykon It was knowledgeable.. but... Your thinking about the factory deck.. I have an aftermarket one. ;) ;D So the deck wouldn't be my problem. Although the amp was another concern but that thing is a rat nest of wiring and I dont even want to touch it. lol Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Nykon on March 02, 2007, 07:09:25 PM Then no solving of problems for you. ;D
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 07:13:47 PM I will dig around in there sometime or later.. or get a whole new amp altogether.. Actually got a 900watt 4 channel sitting in my room. ;D
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: DangerboyJr on March 02, 2007, 08:39:08 PM Its really easy.. You really only need 4 wires snipped from that stock Amp. The 4 front speaker wires.. The rest can just be unplugged from the amp because they are not needed
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 08:43:17 PM Why aren't they need?
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: DangerboyJr on March 02, 2007, 08:55:27 PM Because if you are gonna use an Aftermarket Amp.. You are gonna be using the Pre-outs from the deck, are you not?
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Bad Venge on March 02, 2007, 08:57:44 PM First thing I'd try is cleaning the balance/fader control pots (if equipped) some use digital controls
Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: Gr8witeLxi on March 02, 2007, 09:07:26 PM Because if you are gonna use an Aftermarket Amp.. You are gonna be using the Pre-outs from the deck, are you not? Oh right.. was thinking you were talking about something else about the factory amp. Title: Re: Passenger side Speaker problem Post by: DangerboyJr on March 03, 2007, 03:37:14 AM Ill get the wire colouring you will need tomorrow if you would like
