Title: New door hinges Post by: Jester on January 19, 2007, 11:19:46 PM I am replacing the hinges on my venge since my drivers side hinge needs replaced badly.
I was thinking about the bolt on lambo hinges from Door Conversion. For the bolt ons you still need to cut the fender right? And if so how difficult is it? Title: Re: New door hinges Post by: sweetbring on January 20, 2007, 08:31:16 AM actually, you don't cut the fender, you roll it somehow. Maybe someone else will help, i really don't know anyone on here that has them though.
Title: Re: New door hinges Post by: Bad Venge on January 20, 2007, 01:13:40 PM I'm NOT familiar with THAT kit .... Generally you'll need to Cut or bend the lip inside the rear part of the fender (near the front of the door)... You'll have to remove the door/hinges,mount the new hinges, certain kits may require cutting the inside (plastic) fender well ... some kits come with wiring extenders , others do not you MAY have to make your own... Mount the door to the new hinges, adjust for proper closure , most of this is a two men operation to get it to open/close well ... We can do a pair in like 6 hours ... You probably will take a weekend on the first attempt
