Title: ScanPod
Post by: Devin on December 12, 2005, 05:26:31 PM
Ok, i got this ScanPod, which is suppose to look like a anti theft deterrant light....it gives me 3 wires:

Black: GROUND
RED: (Constant Power)
Yellow: Connection to something that cuts off w/the ignition

Since there is no radio fuse in the fuse box under the dash, can i use the amp relay?

AND which fuse is "constant power"

ANY Help would be greatly appreciated

try running the red wire into the cigarette lighter fuse and the yellow into the anti-theft, once u've done that sit in the car and lock the doors. it should work once the security light goes off. not sure if ur's is like the one i used to have but it worked for me

HAH, that's a good question, i'll check it out when i get home from work....b/c as soon as i got home i tried it out, and it didn't work....but i'll definatly check that one out when i get home.............but if that DOESN'T work, is there another one that i could hook it up to?

there's plenty of ways to power it, especially if it comes with the on/off button, just depends on where at in the car you're trying to place it.
