Whats the average price to get one of our transmissions rebuilt???

first off, what year is your car, and do you have the v6 or the 4 cyl?

the a604 tranny costs around 2700 dealership.

Yeah and figure still $1,000 + at your average AAMCO type place.

probably closer to 1800+. A friend of mine had a 95 pontiac grand prix coupe. NICE car (i know it's gm). he put that car through hell and it showed on the repair bills. he had to have the tranny rebuilt and then replaced. AAMCO told him NO MORE MANUAL shifting cuz it's an auto. it was a strong car though. it cost him 3k for the new transmission.

Well i have a 98 v6 venge and i did something to my transmission i dont even know, but thats not the point. The point is i needed my transmission totally rebuilt, and it cost 1600, so shiano is in the ball park with his guestamation but i have my transmission totally replaced and thats wut it cost.

for $1600 you can get a solid transmission rebuild.
