Title: Bad fuse or worse?
Post by: Ghost Venge on November 20, 2005, 11:40:44 PM
I havent had time to check into this yet. My turn signal and reverse light on the passenger side is out, but the night time running light does work. My passenger side door when opened doesnt turn the interior lights on. My alarm doesnt sound when the window is down and you open the locked door on the passenger side door, (Which normally would go off whenever the locked door is opened from the inside if the windows down). So im wondering is this a blown fuse, just my luck for a bunch of things coincidentally failing on the same side, or something worse EG electrical problem/malfuction? Any ideas? Ill check my fuse box tomorrow when I have some sun light to work with.

Start with making sure all of the doors and trunk are closed...then check the fuses and door switches...

for the turn signals and reverse lights, its probably just burnt out bulbs
for the door thing, you need to replace the door switch. that little black rubber thing int he bottom corner of the door frame. that will also fix your alarm problem because then the car will know the doors been open. if that switch doesn't work the car and alarm have no idea the door is open

Yes the door sensors shot you could remove and clean ,But it's best to replace $5 at the parts store...
