No, seriously, I had thought you guys were talking about having found a deal on superchargers somewhere (for under 3k...).
How much in a ballpark range did it cost for the 3.0 swap+ S.C. system + mods for the install?
Also does RIPP Mods still make a system for the 3.0L?

RIPPMODS does not make a kit for the avenger sebring.. 

i dont think it says anywhere in this thread anything about 3k...

I konw that no company (except thomas knight  ::) ) has put together a SC system for the 95-00 A/S but doesnt RIPPMODS put together the vortech supercharger setup for the 01+ sebring? I wanted to know if they still did.

about the 3k I just threw out a number, I know the stage 3 SC setup goes for something like 5k+

and yeah, I know its your car, i've been around for a bit now and seen it everywhere, thats why i wanted to know how much it cost you for the 3.0L engine swap and any modifications done to install the SC. I've wanted to do what you've done since I bought an Avenger...

you will not put a supercharger on these cars for under 5k for stage 1... a few thousand more for stage 2 cause you have to build the block.. doesnt cost much for stage 3 if you find a way to tune for it cause you have already built the engine.


yes RIPPMODS still makes it for the 3g/stratus/eclipse.....

Price depends on what you are trying to work with. boosting is not cheap. An engine build is basically required

I just want to know a few things here. Whats your website? How much are we talking about in dollar sign price? What kind of warranty do we get?  Horse and torque boost? Dyno test? 0-60 test? 1/4 mile test after super from stock? Cutting and chopping? All hardware included like fuel delivery upgrade? Computer? More details?

He's talking about LABOR not the parts...just so you know.

im not a company.. this thread is like over a year old.. it was a discount for labor only.... like sroufe said.

price would be depedant on what you wanted... obviously no warranty can be applied just like all boosted car... the individual pieces would have their mfr warranty...

I can garuntee a 100hp increase. But like i said its all dependant on what you get.. how much you want to run(spend)

I have dyno tested in the beginning and had over a 80whp increase. But im not selling based on dyno tests. I dont know of a kit that gives you 0-60times.. haha or 1/4 times.. that is dependant on the customers taking their cars. My car was far from stock before it was supercharged.

Like i said its labor only.. Its not something that i can send out instructions for.. so i cant tell you what has to be cut/shaved/modified/moved. Of course all the hardware will be included.. I have to get it installed and running on your car lol

Do you have a website where I can browse/do research on what you have? I'm really looking for something less in price than the Exileracing twin turbo set-ups.  Maybe spending $800-$1800, depending on what you have and what it takes to install.  I'd like to be able and do it myself.

The supercharger alone(just shaft and blower) is 2500.

Do you have any complete kits? what else is necessary? you can't you run it on the shaft and blower alone, right?

yea i can supply with a complete kit, but it would be well over 3k and you really need a forged motor to run boost on these engines for a pro longed period or at all really.

you need the supercharger, injectors, fuel control(mechanical and electrical), timing control, different ac compressor, crank pulley, tensioner, belts, and other things like meth injection if you plan on running something more than 5psi. That is not a complete list but you get the point... its not just a few things and they cost more than 3k unless you buy everything used(and then you dont know where to start looking for a problem)

Really unless you have 5k... you cant do it right. Which is pretty much everything new and a forged piston shortblock...

plan on spending 5k-5.5k

Then it's all a matter of money.  Never could I afford that only making $13K a year after taxes.

I pay $275 rent in the Tahlequah "Ghetto". (a real $hithole) I work 40 hrs. a week, making $8 an hr.  I actually bring home barely over $1K a month.  I have no health benefits either, I could have them, but I don't care.  Life is cheap here.   :(

save half ur paycheck every week...after about 10 months (less than a year lol)...you'll be able to have that turbo ready to rock n roll :P

of course like burn said you have to pay to play no exceptions. if you want to realy do this then you have to work for the money to get what you want no exceptions. do you see a trend here. im not trying to rip on you but be real. first how old are you? second how much do you make a year? and third do you know how to manage your money. only buy ehat you need to only drive where you need to go no joy riding and if possible get another job or find a better one. if your out of high school then college so you can have a career to make the money. all in all to get money it takes time NOEXCEPTIONS

well you actually have a 01+ sebring so you dont need any of the custom work. I can get you a built engine or heads.. or anything else that you may need. But you can purchase a kit directly from RIPP or Tearstone for your boosting needs.

somebody help me here i need a supercharger set up or a turbo set up anything but i just need to know what it will run me costs wise...i have a v6 avenger 99 and its a 2.5L

racing with a 2.5 wont get you much further than a honda

You can score a m90 supercharger for 200 or less. Hes doing that on a older 3.0 but they arent too much different then our engine's. You get the idea though.

Sorry but an older 3.0 is total different than the 2.5's and 3.0's we put in these cars. 

It just gives people another alternative then spending 5k for a turbo/supercharger kit. I am going to school with a kid that has a dodge shadow with a 6g72 swapped in and he is going to put a m90 on it. Shouldnt be too difficult. I will get pictures of it when he's done.

Start adding in all the other parts and see what the total comes to.  If you can do the install on everything yourself, then yes it keeps the price down a good bit.  But how many people have the tools and know how to do it themselves CORRECTLY?

That would be the Shadow with the MegaSquirt in it, correct?  And how much money does he have into his setup currently?

All I am saying is, boosting ANY car, the total price climbs a lot more than you think it will when you start.

Yeah doing all the work yourself will make it a whole lot cheaper. Im not sure how much he has in that car but i can ask tommorow when he arrives at college. Im sure that supercharging your own car doing all the work wont cost over 1500.

Parts will cost more than that.  There is no reason to argue with me, I have done it and know the in and outs of these cars.  Between fuel parts, s/c parts, tuning controller, piping you will be much over $1500.
