Title: Replacing the PCM
Post by: PirateJax on April 17, 2006, 04:15:09 PM
How hard is it to replace the PCM?

Is it just a simple, straighforward, swap or is there more to it?

-Do I have to do anything to the new PCM or will it work right away?

Thanks

It should work right off but you should have it taken and reflashed to your VIN code at the dealership and make sure all the updates are done to it if they apply to you.

As far as installation.

Disconnect the battery.
Unplug and unbolt old unit.
Bolt and plug in new unit.
Reconnect battery.
Start car and hopefully drive happy.
