My mother has a 98 Chrysler Sebring LXi (coupe) and the overdrive is broken. I took the shifter apart to see if I could fix it, apparently the chip is broken, so I wired the yellow and (I believe) red wires together. I know that when I connected the yellow to either the red or black, it caused the O/D Off light to come on in the dash, so I wired the other wire to the yellow. If anyone has any idea what I could do to fix this, I would appreciate it. She can't drive over 55MPH...

She doesn't care if she has control of turning it on or off. If I do it that way, with the O/D OFF light be on or no?
