Did you check all your fuses?  How did you know the old battery was dead?  Maybe it is an alternator issue.

i am pretty sure i have a bad cell in the battery-this has happened to several batteries in the past, the last time it happened the battery wouldnt take a boost but my mechanic took the battery out and used a trickle charger on it -put it back in the car and it started right up.i know the battery was dead because i hopped in the car to go to work the other night and found that my son had turned my lights on 10 hours before Cry

when i had all the trouble with my sebring, my step dad talked to a chrysler mechanic that has been with chrysler for a long time, like 30+ years.  He said that he has never seen one of the alternators in the sebring/venge go bad and if it is bad, you are looking at $400 or more for a new one.  Best of luck.

An alternater will not cause a no start situation.  It doesn't even start working until your car is running.

That is all.

You said you've replaced the battery a few times because of bad cells correct?  Bad cells can be created by the alternator over-charging the battery.  Something to look into, because if the alternator is over charging it can start frying more expensive electronics.

Dead cells can be caused by vibration, heat, overcharging, low water, bad construction... I would def still have your charging system checked though.
