Modifying the Rear Deck Where speakers Go
« on: April 30, 2007, 02:09:11 PM »

Now. I wanted some input and I know Bad Venge probably has some good info. The holes for the original 6x9's are a little small. SO the new ones arent sealed in. I was going to mount them from underneath. But the trunk bars were in the way. I was  wondering if anyone has bodified the rear speaker deck?

Really the biggest of the biggest 6X9's just require cutting the edges to get the magnets thru ... Follow that with some dynamat around the edges and you are good to go

Yeah, It can be a pretty messy job without the right tools. But the dynamat will cover it up and give it a decent seal also.

my covers are gone too got broken when i was putting it all together, they ahve a good point though i had to trim the metal around it to make it fit and even drill a hole on both sides. it wasnt to bad though took some time but it was worth it the speakers are nice. i didnt put dynamat in though i should probably do that... huh learn sumthin new everyday lol

its this concept that there is a period of nothing ness that you can get things done in, it appears very rarely and is hard to catch.
