my engine speed is 2k rpms at 55 mph is it close to correct or not if not could it be that i have 15 inch wheels or something of that sort or could it jsut be that my exhaust had a leak? i know that may be a stupid question but what the hell.

Mine is about 1900 to 2000 at 55 mph.  Thats the v6.   My wheels are 17 inch so I would say thats about right.

Having a certain size rim may or may not affect your speed.  Remember that there is a tire there too.  If you get a 17" rim instead of a 15", but then get tires that are smaller (which you would), your total wheel size is actually the same.   As for the exhaust leak, that wouldn't affect it either.

depending on how bad ur exhaust is...ur rpm's may be a bit higher due to loss of low end power.

yeah see tahts what i thought i was jsut making sure, it has more bottom end since i fixed ( redneck engineered) the exhaust leak, and it would keep the rpms up until i hit the brakes and when i fixed the leak it ifxed that too
