ABS Light
« on: March 16, 2007, 11:51:31 PM »

My ABS Light has been on for several months.. I recently had new pads and rotors put on the front brakes.. The rear brakes are OK.. the ABS light is still on and the mechanic says there is nothing wrong except maybe a faulty sensor.. I don't want to pay again to have a Dealer turn it off.. It is a 02 dodge caravan... someone told me to remove the ground cable and touch it to the positive cable and that would reset it... I don't want to do it unless I know for sure it is ok... any Suggestions?
Thanks.......Jerry

You can disconnect your battery and let it sit for a few minutes.  That will reset your computer.  Was the light on before the mechanic did your brakes?  If not I'd have him figure out the problem, and pay for it.

Mod List.  Um WAY too many to fit on here.  But the engine can handle about 800HP

And don't go touching battery cables together.  There may be enough residual charge in the system to pop some fuses.
