He had a great chance of uniting the world unfortunately he united the world under the guise of hate instead of understanding. He had the talent and the means, just a messed up idea of what was right.
Trying to exterminate any disease by targeting the populace that has the disease is only partially an answer. Look at Small Pox. We thought we had that completely eradicated, but it resurfaced.
Disease's are always going to be around. And if you took out everyone with a disease instead of finding a cure, pretty soon everyone would be dead. I don't know many people that haven't been afflicted with the common cold.

the common cold isn't really a disease. just bacteria (i know "no difference" but ask a biologist and they'll tell you otherwise). diseases resurface because they are allowed to mutate. a disease needs a host of some form in order to survive. if all of the hosts are dead and the disease can no longer spread, it dies out too. only problem is that our planet is too overpopulated for a disease to follow that "natural selection" process.
I agree that planet is over populated, but instead of forgetting about the people we have (with the exception of the ones that are just "being" not "living") we should look at slowing birth rates. Stop making it so easy for trashy people to spit out 20 kids and get paid 1500 a month for them (that's what it was in Wisconsin a year ago.)

I know in Maryland you could get pretty much a free ride in College if you screwed up when you were a teenager and had a kid. While other people who didn't screw up had to work their butts off to even get a few classes. We'd be better off taking the kids from the people who keep spitting them out than to fund them to have more. There are tons of people out there that can't have kids that would love some of these children, but the adoption process is too long and complicated cause all they want to do is keep the kids with their birth mothers who are all drugged out. I don't feel sorry for them at all, nor do I want to support them.
when i was in middle school, there was a night school for the HSer's and those who couldn't attend a public school during the day.
All the HS students who worked their butts off had to PAY to attend night school. Everyone who wasn't in school got a complete free "ride" all the way to the cigarette at the end. a diploma. BS!!!!! the freeloaders that weren't in school should be the ones paying, not those IN school. the deadbeats outnumbered them 3/1.
...well....we DO have an entire universe to populate, the average person is getting smarter...but advancement in this area is ...well...its going. just ppl are breeding too fast...making it impossible to have a linear increase in intelligence...exhausting whatever's there. too many ppl = not enough of anything including education. decreasing population growth at this point is what we need. it will help in every aspect. everything becomes easier to control. i personally think life is primitive compared to what it can be....i feel like i was born a couple thousand years early....exception in a few cases. no more free money...thats y its so hard to get anywhere...the "working class" feeds the non-workers...it's bs...u cant take care of urself with the money u make...then u gonna have kids on top of that...u should be shot...
Or a few hundred too earlier. It seems like Romans/Trojans had so much going for them. It's incredible. If people would just settle down and stop the breeding we could get back to People that have something to contribute instead of just suck off of society.
