Factory CD player reading burned CDs
« on: October 15, 2006, 06:25:51 PM »

I have the factory AM/FM/CD/casette player in my '97 Sebring.
It is apparently picky about reading CDs that I burned on my computer.
Just wondering what brand of blank CDs someone may have used successfully.

Thanks

I used memorex and sony.  No problem here.  I eventually got a pioneer so i could control my subs.  If you want my old one, I sell it to you.

Thanks for the replies.

I tried a different brand and burned at a slower speed and that seems to have taken care of it.

a lot of older stock cd players are very picky about reading burned cds.  the best bet is to go get a cd player, one that reads mp3s would be even better, i sit here and put close to 200 songs on a cd and my darn cd player that i went and spent $600 on wouldnt read them and my sisters $100 walmart cd player reads it all day, hows that for irony.  moral of the story, you dont have to spend a fortune to listen to some d*mn music!!
