I just noticed that my front bumper cracked at the bottom. I heard this is common on 99' sebring coupe. Can this be repaired? if so how much do u guys think it would be?
well, mine broke, i just cut it off. not that tha's thhe best idea, but i just liked the way it looked. as for repairing, i believe that depends on the extent of the damage. i mean..also, will it be subjected to the same things that caused it?..cuz then it'd be pointless so im guessin it wont be. If its just cracked i believe there it that polyurethane adhesive could be used to put it together...u would just need to clamp it in place. Also, there is the fiberglass fix where u have the fiberglass material and the resin. apply some resin mixture around the damaged area, and apply some to the material. Try applying the resin to the material on a piece of tin foil. and then place the material onto the damaged area. I want to say brush it on..but then im not sure how to get the resin off the brush, so after that dries, id use some bondo, sand it in and paint it. Like I said, the method you choose should depend on the extent of our damage, the worse the damage, the more u should lean toward the fiberglass, but it might not be necessary.

well, how does the bumper perform after you cut it off. I thought about cutting it off but I was afraid that it might damage the structure of the bumper. I have also noticed that the bumper has been repaired once before by the previous owner so repairing it again might be impossible.
Also how is your ground clearance after you cut it off?
If its cracked, I think it would be a waste of time to repair it. Especially since it still sits sooooooo damn low! It will probably break again. Maybe consider a body kit, but I don't know if it changes ground clearance.
If it was not broken, I would suggest replacing the metal reinforcement in the lower air dam. I did that, which caused the air dam to not look like a "gaping, drooling mouth" (quote from my brother).
It can be repaired ...I suggest Strengthening the bottom With extra metal ...You can get a plastic welder to repair the rip,Then sand smooth and repaint
well, for the ground clearance..not much, but depending on where u drive, say for instance, where ur driveway meets the road, if its a bit high when u have the bumper on, it shouldnt cause any more rubbing, maybe something minor, but it wont get damaged again. I liked the way it looked better than before also. and it doesnt cause any structural damage, it seems pretty natural if u cut it right.
