Back from the garage...still doesn't run...
« on: July 06, 2006, 07:13:34 PM »

So my 1998 SebringLXI was having trouble ever since I unhooked the battery (idled fine, but wouldn't take any gas, sputtered and stalled).  So I take it to the garage down the street to get it checked out.  Computer didn't thow up any codes at all.  Mechanic said that it was showing that it was running REALLY lean and that there was a leak in my exhaust manifold, possibly a crack in it that might be messing with some of the O2 sensors causing mixture problems.  But, they didn't want to mess with it at the garage because it looked like someone had been in there before and did some sloppy work, and they didn't have time to mess with it at the garage!  So now I have to get it towed to another mechanic and start all over.

Anyhow, my question is, where can I find a stock manifold to replace the one that is probably cracked?  Everywhere I look, there are only listings for the 4 cylinder manifold replacement, none for the 6 cyl.  Anyone??

Thanks,
Mark

I would check the local junk yards for 2.5L parts. They always seem to have stuff like that.

If not, check out this site:

www.mydodgeparts.com

It was the only place I could find a stock (OEM) manifold....and its nearly impossible to find aftermarket headers for it.

Good luck!
