just a couple nights ago, I was on the thruway, doing 55...It became a lonely road so I decided I'd have a lil fun and floored it...somewhere between then and 100 mph, my dash lights went out (due to the wire burning through and grounding, my brights didnt have a fuse..but still worked..I didnt think they could, so they were left on and must have caused this) and I pulled to the side of the road. upon slowing down right before get to a complete stop..my car starts idling really loud causing it to vibrate. I havent checked anything yet, so I think something is rubbing, except this only happens in drive, and only when the car is idling. any ideas??
Any CELs?? I'm always quick to blame the transmission on the Autos. All the more reason to switch to stick When you say it idles loud what do you mean? Rattle noise, or just sounds like it's running higher than it should? The dash wiring shouldn't have caused you're car to idle wierd unless your tach was burned. But you only mentioned one wire.

Mod List. Um WAY too many to fit on here. But the engine can handle about 800HP
well it's a real deep vibration, my check engine light is fine..no codes...I think it IS the transmission if not the rubbing. My dash wiring is fine now, that was just from my headlights. that got fixed, but the vibration is still there. I don't believe they were connected since one is fixed and the other is still there. all the other wiring is fine. If it is the transmission, what do I do? ive never gotten into that stuff really, so I'd have to take it somewhere and get it looked at.
yes, my apologies, my keyboard was sucking at that particular moment in time....being that I was on asog, and you know how it'll screw u up by telling you u posted already, I wasnt about to deal with that AND my keyboard. Ncie Inpretatarion
I forgot to mention that it kinda fixed itself, I guess it's just getting to the "hill"...when it goes over I get ma luvly 3....something liter v6..whatever one that can fit with the most power.hopefully they make new engines that'll fit....hopefully
it sounds though less liek a trans issue, and more maybe a fuel shortage problem. shame you don't know how it handled when in neutral to see if there really was a difference or not.
